Kristina Lesik

Attorney & Partner

Attorney Kristina Lesik is a founding partner of KLM Immigration Law and is both a licensed attorney in good standing in the State of California, as well as in the Province of Quebec, Canada. Prior to joining KLM Immigration Law, Kristina worked for several years as a litigation attorney at one of Montreal’s top law firms, practicing primarily in matters of Corporate and Civil litigation and representing clients from North America and around the world. Throughout the years, Kristina helped her clients overcome complex issues involving real estate transactions., leasing disputes, as well as construction and other liability matters. Furthermore, her practice included the drafting of contracts, advising her clients on matters of estate, succession, and debt recovery. Kristina also acted as Judicial Extern at the Los Angeles Superior Court where she assisted the Probate Court Judge.

Kristina completed her legal studies at the University of Montreal, one of Canada’s top law schools and is a member of the Quebec Bar Association. Upon obtaining a Bachelor’s of Laws degree, Kristina pursued her legal studies and completed a Master’s degree in Business Law at UCLA (University of California in Los Angeles). Prior to studying law, Kristina also completed a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from the prestigious McGill University in Montreal, Quebec and worked in accounting and finance.

Throughout the years, Kristina has been involved in several immigration matters following her own immigration from Ukraine to Canada and more recently, her immigration from Canada to the United States. Kristina oversaw and assisted individuals with cases relating to applying for, and obtaining student visas, work visas, investor immigration and other related services. As a result of her extensive involvement in matters of immigration, and her genuine interest in this field, Kristina has decided to dedicate her current practice of law to the field of immigration. Kristina is fluent in English, French, Russian and Hebrew.

Marina Minukhin

Attorney Marina Minukhin is a founding partner of KLM Immigration Law. Prior to joining KLM Immigration, she worked for several years as an immigration attorney, specializing in all areas of Canadian immigration law, and more specifically in matters of criminality, inadmissibility and rehabilitation for international clients from the US, France, the U.K., Australia and Ireland among others. Her clients included individuals seeking to enter Canada on both a temporary and permanent basis while having been charged with, or convicted of a criminal offense in their homeland. Furthermore, she represented and helped individuals looking to permanently settle in Canada by way of investment, as well as by applying for, and obtaining study permits, work permits, spousal and other family sponsorship to Canada.

Attorney Minukhin obtained her Law degree from the University of Montreal, one of Canada’s top law schools, and is a member in good standing of the Quebec Bar Association. She is also an active member of the Canadian Bar Association and of the Quebec Immigration Lawyers’ Association (AQAADI). Upon the completion of her studies, attorney Minukhin articled at a top 10 Canadian law firm, specializing in Corporate and Contracts Law, and later joined the legal team of a large multinational aerospace and transportation company where she negotiated multi-million-dollar contracts for the purchase of aircraft on behalf of her clients. Prior to studying law, attorney Minukhin completed a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance and worked at one of Canada’s and the US’ major banks.

Attorney Minukhin’s understanding and knowledge of immigration law stems from her diverse and multicultural upbringing, having lived in North America, Asia, the Middle East and Australia. She is fluent in English, French and Russian.
